About Rachel, MS, RDN, CD

Rachel is the founder of Food and Flow Nutrition. As a registered dietitian nutritionist and competitive athlete for the past 20 years, she uses her experience and passion for whole foods nutrition to help each client become the best version of themselves. Rachel specializes whole body wellness, sports nutrition and the management of disease states such as hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

In addition to working as an individual and team nutrition advisor for the Seattle Storm WNBA team, Rachel was a clinical dietitian at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington and Virginia Mason in Seattle. She is a PMBIA Level 1 mountain bike instructor and has personal experience as a triathlete and rugby player. She currently coaches for Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and does nutrition education for Trek Dirt Series Mountain Bike Camps.

Rachel earned her Masters of Science in the Nutrition/Didactic Program in Dietetics from Bastyr University. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from University of California at Davis and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Rachel takes part in the Academy practice groups for sports nutrition (SCAN), as well as for integrative and functional medicine (DIFM) and is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetics Association (CPSDA). 

When she is not talking food and nutrition, Rachel can be found foraging in the forests near her house or on the mountain bike trails of Fall City, Washington and British Columbia, Canada. She is married and lives on the eastside of Seattle with her two precocious boys and trail dogs.
